Red Cliffs Lodge, Moab, Utah

This spring workshop will be based at the award-winning Red Cliffs Lodge which is nestled on the banks of the Colorado River, surrounded by spectacular 2,000-foot cliffs. Drew wants to share with students this amazing location which was used on a shoot he did with Stetson. This special spot in Moab, Utah is uniquely located near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Equipment Necessary

We suggest that you bring all the camera equipment you typically shoot with as well as a personal laptop, card reader, and external hard drive to store and/or backup images. We recommend a camera that allows for exposure control. Students do not need to own a wide variety of equipment or lenses for this course. However, being able to experiment with a few focal length options via an interchangeable lens system will aid students in capturing the action as scenarios and scenes change throughout the workshop. The course will cover photography fundamentals and theory, elements that remain consistent regardless of the camera system students use. As we like to say, “It’s the Indian, not the arrow, that gets the shot.”

Activity Level and Weather Considerations

Students should be in good health and feel comfortable walking or standing for extended periods of time. Sturdy boots will be needed. Daily activities may include mild hiking on uneven ground, and shooting photos from the ground on up. Rain is a possibility. Please be prepared and dress accordingly.

The workshop price is $1,500.A 10% discount is given for returning students. A deposit of $500 is due upon registration.  You may also add on the Lightroom Plus Class which is an additional $400.
